This past week i have been searching thru the internet and went onto the night skies network webpage. Various amateur astronomers video stream brodcast what they are seeing on their telescopes with ccd cameras such as the malincam, stellaview. They have been very helpfull and the creator and owner of the Mallincam, Rock Mallincan is on there alot.
Went to my first astronomy club meeting last night. The olympic astronomy society. Was a good drive there and back from Bremerton but we had 30 or more members attending.
I had ordered a 25x100 zhumel binoculars with tripod for $378$ on the 20th of July and its back ordered I wish they'd get shipped so I learn to work with them.
My first star party! Went up to hurricane ridge. A forest fire near Shelton and Olympia made a mess of the southern sky but we had great conditions in the other cardinal directions. I learned that to help with my 10" dob that I should consider replacing the secondary mirror spider. I* managed to get the telrad adjusted to help find what i was trying to zero on and managed for the first time to get 5 messier objects located. And Finnaly I got Andromeda and the two other galaxys in the viewfinder. I knew where approximately Andromeda was but without zeroing the telrad finding this galaxy was being a pain.
